Cupcake Recipe – CBD Infused Cupcakes
Cupcake Recipe : CBD Baking is so versatile as long as you remember the golden rule … bake at low temperature! CBD has a ‘boiling point’ of 320°F – 356°F. So bearing that in mind, bake at 300°F and be sure to gain its benefits.
Below is a pictorial recipe for cupcakes; simple to follow and great way of indulging in CBD infused treats!
Cupcake Recipe Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 110g/4oz butter softened at room temperature.
- 110g/4oz caster sugar
- 110g/4oz self-raising flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
- good quality CBD oil. We used 1000mg x 4 drops. Please use your discretion.
Cupcake Recipe : Step 1
Add softened butter and caster sugar to bowl
Step 2
Cream the butter and sugar until pale in colour.
Step 3
Add good quality CBD oil. We used x4 drops of 1000mg.
Please use the drops you take at your discretion. CBD oil is a fat soluble substance and therefore added at this stage.
Step 4
Add x1 teaspoon of bicarbonate soda to flour.
Step 5
Sift the flour and bicarbonate soda combo into bowl along with 2 eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture.
Step 6
Using a wooden spoon or a whisk, mix the ingredients until pale and ‘fluffy’. TIP: mix in a figure of 8 to add more ‘air’ to the mixture.
Step 7
Using 2 teaspoons, fill cake paper cases with mixture almost 2/3 full giving it room to rise!
Step 8
Bake in the oven at 300°F for approx 20 mins.
TIP: to test if cooked, press lightly on top of cake. If it springs back, it’s done!
Step 9
Let it cool on wire rack. Once cooled… enjoy!
At this point you can frost the cupcakes with runny icing or butter icing but in our case, we could not wait a moment longer to eat!!
